Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at inclusiveexpectations@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

"Do I really need an advocacy coach if I have a good relationship with the school?

"Even the best relationships benefit from a professional second set of eyes. We ensure that "good intentions" are backed by measurable goals and legally binding language, protecting that relationship by keeping the focus on the data, not the emotions.

"When is the best time to hire an advocacy coach?

"Ideally, before there is a crisis. Bringing us in for a record review or an annual IEP meeting allows us to set a proactive foundation. However, we are also experts at navigating "stalled" progress or disputes regarding placement.

"What is the difference between an Advocacy Coach and an Attorney?"

  • Advocacy Coach: We focus on the educational and collaborative side—attending meetings, drafting goals, and ensuring IEP implementation. We are often more cost-effective for day-to-day school issues.
  • Attorneys: They handle the formal legal process (Due Process) and litigation. We often work alongside attorneys if a case becomes a legal dispute.

"How does the process work?"

  1. Discovery Call: A free 15-minute chat to see if we are the right fit.
  2. Record Review: We analyze your child’s history to find the "missing pieces."
  3. Strategy Session: We build a "Game Plan" for the next school meeting.
  4. Meeting Attendance: We sit by your side (virtually or in person) to ensure your voice—and your child’s needs—are heard.
